Daniel Dumas

Chairman, M.Sc., P.Eng.

Dan is a Professional Mining Engineer with 30 years of experience in the Mining Engineering and Construction. In 1994 he founded Dumas Contracting Ltd. (DCL), a subsidiary of Dumas Holdings Inc. (DHI) where he held the position of President and CEO until 2017. DCL is a global leader in underground mining engineering and construction specializing in shaft sinking and full mine development and construction. Dan’s strengths are operations, finance, technical services and identifying key business drivers. While at DCL, he led the group in winning a multitude of innovation awards in safety and productivity. He has held numerous board positions on publicly and privately held companies.

J.R. Goode

PEng (ON and NL), FCIMM, FAusIMM.

John graduated from the Royal School of Mines as a metallurgist in 1963. After a couple of years with Falconbridge and two years at RTZ’s Avonmouth operation, he transferred to Rio Algom in Elliot Lake, Ontario, where he undertook process development in the yttrium-thorium and uranium plants. In 1973 he transferred to RTZ’s Ore Sorters Ltd. John joined Kilborn Engineering in 1976 and was VP Mining and Metallurgy when he left in 1994. Whilst there, he completed numerous gold, uranium, and rare earth projects including design and commissioning of a new yttrium plant in Elliot Lake and anevaluation of rare earth operations in China that resulted in AMR (now Neo Performance Materials) acquiring interests in two separation plants. John joined Barrick Gold in 1994 and spent four years running its China operation. Upon returning to Canada, he established a consultancy that has undertaken numerous projects including about a dozen rare earth projects covering ore processing and separation plant design. John has delivered about 70 papers, many concerning rare earths. He is a co-organizer of CIM conferences, and an expert to ISO/TC 298 Rare earths which is preparing standards for the industry.

Allan Rollat

PhD, Technical Director, Carester.

Alain Rollat is Doctor in Chemistry from University of Strasbourg and a graduate of the Institute of Business Administration of the University of Poitiers. He spent most of his career in the Rare Earth business of the Solvay Group (formerly Rhone-Poulenc and Rhodia) where he held various R&D and industrial positions in the Research Centre of Aubervilliers and in the factory of La Rochelle, France. During this period, he has developed several processes in the field of rare earths separation and purification and participated in the design of new production units of rare earths in France and China. Based on this experience he is author or co-author of 13 patents and several scientific articles and books. He is currently technical director of the French company Carester.

Michael Woloschok

P.Eng., Executive Director, Critical Minerals | Fluor Corporation.

Michael has 28 years of experience in the mining industry including mineral processing, hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical operations, capital project delivery, corporate evelopment, private equity, technology development & innovation, business & strategy development. His commodity experience includes lithium, nickel, cobalt, gold, silver, copper, rare earth elements, manganese, zinc, molybdenum, and uranium. He is currently the executive director, critical minerals for Fluor where he is responsible for leading the identification, prioritization, and execution of global critical minerals pursuits in all phases of the project life cycle. His previous experience includes vice president of global mining consulting and global mining business development for another large EPCM. He held leadership roles with a global OEM and with Canada’s largest mining-focused private equity fund. Michael is a recognized subject matter expert in processing of precious metals, base metals, and critical minerals.

Don Hains

P. Geo.

President of Hains Engineering Company Limited. He is an industrial minerals exploration and economic geologist and marketing specialist with more than 40 years of experience in development, use and analysis of industrial minerals properties and materials. Mr. Hains is an expert in the analysis of the geology, processing and markets for industrial minerals and the economics of production for industrial minerals. His experience encompasses most of the industrial minerals and specialty metals, including rare earths, lithium, tantalum, niobium, gallium, germanium, graphite, heavy minerals. Assignments have ranged from grass roots exploration to feasibility and market studies and valuation reports. He has conducted studies on a wide range of industrial minerals projects in Canada, the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He is very familiar with trends in end use technologies for most major industrial minerals and specialty minerals, and in process technologies for beneficiation of industrial minerals and specialty metals. He is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (Registration Number 0494) in Ontario and a Professional Member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (#4175075). He is a graduate of Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario (1974) and Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia (1976). Don is a frequent speaker at major industrial conferences, having presented papers on anorthosite, titanium mineral processing, lithium, and several other commodities.

Rob Bowell

SRK, PhD, CChem, CGeol, FIMMM

Rob is a geochemist with 33 years’ experience. Rob has a background in applied geology in tropical and deeply weathered terrains and mining consulting in the fields of due diligence, financial and technical audits, process chemistry, environmental geochemistry, environmental engineering, and mineralogy. He specializes in the application of chemistry and mineralogy to solve engineering problems. He specializes in uranium, lithium, copper, and REE deposits and experience in gold, potash, base metals, nickel-PGE, coal, iron, phosphate, tin, beryllium, fluorite, and manganese. He has experience in North America, South America, Greenland, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Rob has 207 publications in the field of mineralogy, process chemistry, and applied geochemistry, ARD, contaminated land, and water treatment available on request.
